About Rodina Cabinets

The Family Behind Rodina Cabinets

Rodina means family in Czech and Slovak, and we chose the name on purpose. We are a family-owned shop that started out building cabinets by hand. The crew that builds your kitchen has been with us for years, and most of them came from our first little shop in Stony Plain. You will never be just a number on a file here.

How it started

Built by hand first

Rodina started with cabinets built by hand in a small shop in Stony Plain. The work was the point, and it still is. That shop grew into the shop and showroom we run today in Edmonton.

We are family-owned and family-run, in the plain sense and in a wider one. The people who work here have been here for years. They moved with the company from Stony Plain, and they stayed.

Blood or not, the crew is family. We have built this company together, through the hard years and the good ones, and we hold each other to one standard: do the work properly, every time. Where family craftsmanship becomes luxury design is not a slogan to us. It is the shop.

The shop

Made to order in Edmonton

Every cabinet is built for one home, in our own shop at 15311 128 Ave NW. Nothing comes off a shelf.

Panels are cut on one of two CNC machines. The newest arrived this year and cut production time without cutting corners. The boxes are solid 5/8-inch material throughout, the drawers too, and every door and drawer closes softly.

Finishing happens in-house. That is how we can match almost any paint colour or stain sample, and why the finish on your cabinets is checked by the same people who built them.

How we work

In person, measured twice

The process is the same for a powder room vanity and a full kitchen. It starts in your home, not in a catalogue.

We come to you

Every project starts with an in-person visit. We measure on the first visit, and a second team member checks the measurements on another.

Drawings and pricing together

You see the final drawings, the materials and the price at the same time, before anything goes to production.

Built in 6 to 8 weeks

Standard production runs 6 to 8 weeks from sign-off. Our own installation technicians fit the cabinets before countertops and floors go in.

What we stand for

Three things we will not bend on

Your home, not a catalogue

Your kitchen should look like you, not like a trend. We mix the styles, finishes and hardware you love into one design that fits the house you have.

A process that fits your life

Designing a space should be exciting, not another job. We work around your schedule, keep the visits short and useful, and give you back your time.

Built to last

We do not compromise on materials or construction. The cabinets hold their value long after the trend that inspired them has passed.

From a client

Treated like the biggest customer

Rodina has a very impressive shop, with some of the latest machines. The owner cares and knows all about cabinets. Great place.
